Purpose of the Center is to carry out research and academic activities in the fields of environmental sciences and marine biology, science of tourism and human geography, to teach
how to protect this fragile environment and its biodiversity, how to use and manage its resources in a responsible way.
In a spirit of cooperation, the University of Milan Bicocca has also donated disposable face masks to the entire Magoodhoo community, to protect the population from the Covid-19 infection.
Paolo Galli, Director of the MaRHE Center, says: “We are honoured to be present in the Maldives on the island of Magoodhoo and to offer the local community our small contribution to defeating the Coronavirus.
We are available to provide the sanitizing gel recipe to anyone who asks for it and to assist them in the preparation. In this difficult time for all humanity, it is important to work together.”
